About

SwingLoft Video Analysis Software is a software application built in Java, for MAC computers.  It is the first golf teaching software for MAC computers.  MAC users no longer have to install Parallels, Bootcamp or any other software so that they can run Windows on their operating system. It is our goal to make a simple and easy to use video analysis system that doesn’t carry the high price tag of typical systems.

All Sports

All sports use video to some extent to analyze a player’s movements.  Golf, tennis, and baseball are three of the most common sports that use video analysis at almost all levels.  From professionals to high school players, the use of video and slow motion analysis can greatly speed up the learning process.  SwingLoft was built with golf instructors in mind, but it can be used for EVERY single sport out there.

The iPod

The goal of SwingLoft was to build a simple, easy to use program that will ALSO convert a video file into an MPEG4 format.  This will allow an instructor to deliver his lesson via the iPod.  This is the way of the future – simple technology that makes learning faster.  Imagine giving your student their entire lesson to them on their iPod.  While that student is practicing, he can look at his lesson and keep improving without having to wait until he is near a computer to look at his lesson.  This will keep the player focused and improve their skills faster than traditional lesson delivery systems.

Moving Forward

The goal of the software is to provide an application that can be easily used with minimal training while providing an innovative new way to deliver a lesson.  The software can be purchased at TheSwingLoft.com.  This website is here for informational purposes and to share best practices with fellow instructors.  Soon SwingLoft will be hosting websites for instructors to upload their own videos so that their students may download videos, drills, and other information that an instructor has posted.  Please let us know how you are using SwingLoft and if you have any suggestions for further releases.

Thanks and Enjoy!
