Q: Does SwingLoft work on any Mac?

A:  Intel-based Macs (newer Macbooks, Macbook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini) are all compatible.

Q: Does the system keep a database of students?

A: SwingLoft makes use of the easy to use file storage that Mac computers are known for.  A database is not incorporated into the SwingLoft interface.

Q: Does SwingLoft handle multiple camera input?

A: Version 2.1 supports 1 video input, however future versions may incorporate multiple camera input.

Q: Does SwingLoft support live video input?

A: Yes, Version 2.1 supports this function.

Q: What file formats does SwingLoft support?

A: Currently, SwingLoft supports every movie type.

Q: What kind of file can export a video to?

A: The feature that SwingLoft is famous for – exporting your video to MP4 (which can be played on the iPod) – also includes export to AVI and MOV files.

Q: Can SwingLoft export a file with all the drawings on it?

A: No, currently SwingLoft can only export your video to MP4, AVI or MOV format without the drawing tools overlapped on top. However, the next version of SwingLoft WILL have this function.

Q: Does SwingLoft have a CD creation feature to give students a CD-Rom?

A: No, SwingLoft has the export function to convert videos to MP4.  MP4 is a compressed file format that is compatible with portable media players.  This file format is usually small enough to be sent via e-mail and perfect for uploading to the internet (assuming reasonable video length).
